A look around.
The same honest family running the same shop for three generations.
Our story
Three Generations Under One Roof
Calderon Transmission Inc. started with Francisco Calderon, who built a reputation in South Gate for honest, careful transmission work. His son Jose carried that reputation forward, and today Francisco's grandson is the one greeting customers at the counter — the same family, the same shop, for more than 20 years.
We specialize in transmissions, but our bays handle general repair and diagnostics too, from routine maintenance to 4x4 and diesel trucks. We tell customers what actually needs fixing and what doesn't, even when that means a smaller bill.
Most of our customers have been with us for years, and many first walked through our doors because someone else sent them. That's the kind of shop we've always tried to be.
- Family-owned across three generations
- We won't sell you service you don't need
- 20+ years serving South Gate drivers
- Clear updates while your vehicle is in the shop
What customers say
“There's no better shops in the area. I've been coming here for years, and it's been the same professional service as always. There's a great staff on deck that'll always go the extra mile to get the parts you need and the service you deserve.”
“Great service and knowledgeable, they checked my 4x4 on a diesel truck and did not try to sell me service I did not need.”
“I have been doing business with this place for at least 20 years, it is good to see that it has remained such an honest and fairly priced establishment throughout all of these years! I started dealing with Mr. Francisco Calderon (R.I.P.), have dealt with Jose and now starting to deal with his son, every single one of them have been great.”
